Silk Road Sales Partner Briefing
Silk Road AI Solutions
& Silk Road SCM
CONTRACTED SALES PARTNER BRIEFING · OCTOBER 2026

Sell the pilot. Earn on the account for as long as it stays.

A working guide for sales partners across both Silk Road brands: what AI Solutions builds and what SCM consults on, who buys each, how a deal moves from first contact to handoff, how engagements are priced, and what every account pays you.

01 What Silk Road doesIn one sentence

AI that runs the work, across a whole business

We design, build and operate AI systems for owner-led businesses: systems that capture leads, answer customers, process documents and clear the busywork that owners and staff do by hand.

Done for you

Built and operated

The owner does not learn a tool. We design it, build it, run it and report on it. You are selling an outcome, not software.

How it starts

Assess, then a 30-day pilot

A short assessment, then one live system for 30 days with a measurable target set on day one. No six-month build.

No lock-in

They can walk

After the pilot the owner can stop with no further obligation. Most keep going, and most add systems. That is why your commission runs for years, not months.

Who delivers

Dallas Wymes, founder

35 years running operations and sales in supply chain, including as a VP at Mainfreight. He scopes, prices and delivers every engagement you sell.

02 The splitYour job and ours

You run the prospect. Silk Road runs the build.

You

  • Find and register prospects, and make first contact
  • Run the discovery conversation: their business, their bottlenecks, who decides
  • Present our decks, demos and proposals, and work the follow-up and objections
  • Negotiate inside the pricing and terms Silk Road has approved, and bring the client to a signed agreement and first payment
  • Lead the handoff meeting and stay close through kickoff until the client is live
  • Keep your pipeline current in the partner portal, at least weekly

Silk Road

  • Training on the services, the pricing logic and the sales process
  • Decks, proposals, case studies and demos, plus a prospect-specific proposal for every deal you bring to that stage
  • Pricing and a quote for each opportunity, usually within two business days
  • The client agreement, signed by Silk Road
  • Every part of delivery: design, build, operation, reporting
  • Your commission statement and payment, monthly
03 Who buysThe target account

Owner-led service businesses with a team doing repetitive work

The profile

  • Roughly 5 to 300 people. The owner or a managing partner decides and signs.
  • There is a team doing the work by hand: answering phones, chasing leads, re-typing data, scheduling, invoicing.
  • Demand exists. More inquiries, paperwork or follow-ups than they handle well.
  • At least one system already in use (CRM, TMS, job platform, practice software) that we can build around.
  • Frustrated, not curious. Curious people take meetings. Frustrated people buy pilots.

Where we know the work best

  • Supply chain, logistics, freight brokers and agents, 3PL, warehousing and distribution
  • Health and wellness practices and clinics (HIPAA-aware, with a BAA)
  • CPA, accounting and bookkeeping firms
  • Other service businesses: insurance, home services, contractors, coaching, professional services
04 What we buildSix areas

Every engagement starts with one or two of these, chosen by what hurts most

Grow

Lead generation and AI SDR

Finds the right prospects, writes and sends the outreach, qualifies replies, books meetings on the owner's calendar.

Grow

Customer communication and voice AI

Answers calls, texts and web inquiries in seconds, day or night, and hands off to a person when it matters.

Run

Document processing

Reads invoices, intake forms, tax documents, BOLs and rate confirmations, and puts the data where it belongs without re-typing.

Run

Workflow automation

Connects the tools a business already uses so follow-ups, reminders, status updates and handoffs happen on their own.

Decide

Dashboards

One screen with the numbers the owner actually looks at, pulled from the systems automatically.

Decide

AI strategy and process optimization

For owners who want the roadmap before the build. Often the front door to a pilot.

05 The sales motionRegister to handoff

Six steps from a name on your list to a live client

STEP 1

Register

Before or at first contact, log the prospect in your partner portal or email it with your partner code. Silk Road confirms within five business days. First to register owns the account.

STEP 2

Discover

Walk their operation: what happens when a lead or call comes in, where balls drop, what they would hand off tomorrow. No pricing on this call.

STEP 3

Map and quote

Send Dallas the bottleneck notes. He returns a pilot scope and price, and a proposal in the client's name.

STEP 4

Present and close

Present the proposal, handle objections, negotiate inside approved terms, and bring it to a signed agreement and first payment.

STEP 5

Hand off

You lead the kickoff meeting with the client and Dallas, and stay close until Silk Road confirms the system is live.

STEP 6

Get paid

Commission accrues on every dollar the client pays, from the first payment on. Statements and payouts monthly, all visible in your dashboard.

06 How pilots are pricedOrder of magnitude

A one-time build fee, then a monthly operating fee

Typical ranges

  • Build and setup: $2,500 to $6,500 one time, depending on the systems involved
  • Operating fee: $2,000 to $6,000 per month, depending on how many systems are live
  • The build fee covers the full scope agreed up front; the monthly fee runs it. Accounts grow when the client adds systems beyond that scope after the pilot proves out.
  • Third-party costs billed at cost (software seats, ad spend, telephony) are passed through and not commissionable.

Dallas prices every engagement to the actual bottleneck. Use these ranges to qualify, never to quote.

Worked example: a two-person expedited freight agency

Carrier vetting and VIN checks, lead follow-up, quote response, track and trace, and client onboarding, built in phases starting with the two that hurt most. $3,250 to build, $2,500 per month to operate. The 60-day pilot is $8,250 all in, and the client can stop any time after it.

Success targets set on day one: five to eight hours a week handed back, carrier vetting time cut by more than half, every open lead on an automatic cadence.

07 What you earnContracted sales partner terms

35% of net revenue in year one, and you keep earning as long as the account stays

35%
Account months 1 to 12
25%
Account months 13 to 24
15%
Month 25 on, while the client stays
One account: $4,000 build, $3,000 a month
Year one: 35% of $4,000 plus 35% of $36,000$14,000
Year two: 25% of $36,000$9,000
Year three and on: 15% of $36,000$5,400 a year
Three years, one account$28,400

The fine print, in plain language

  • Net revenue is what the client pays Silk Road, setup and build fees included, less payment processing fees
  • Accrues when the client's payment clears; paid within 15 days of month end with a statement
  • The step-down is deliberate: it keeps the next new account worth more than the last
  • Project engagements (SCM consulting, fractional leadership, a one-off build with no recurring fee) pay a flat 20% for the length of the project instead; see the next slide
  • Commission continues on your accounts for 12 months after the agreement ends, unless it ends for cause
  • Illustration only. Real accounts vary in size and tend to grow after the pilot.
08 Silk Road SCMThe other half of the business

Same partner, same code: supply chain consulting and fractional leadership

What SCM does

  • 3PL and warehouse selection, network and facility design, operations assessments
  • E-commerce fulfillment setup and optimization
  • Fractional supply chain leadership: a seasoned operator inside the client's business for a defined term
  • Process and workflow optimization, often the front door to an AI Solutions build

Who buys it

  • Brands and manufacturers choosing or changing a 3PL
  • Growing e-commerce companies outgrowing their fulfillment setup
  • Operators who need senior supply chain leadership without a full-time hire
How SCM work is priced and paid

Consulting projects typically run $10,000 to $40,000. Fractional leadership engagements typically run $25,000 to $150,000 for the term. Dallas scopes and prices every engagement; use the ranges to qualify, never to quote.

These are project engagements, so they pay a flat 20% of net revenue for the length of the project, for referral and sales partners alike, in place of the schedule on slide 8.

A $40,000 consulting project earns you $8,000. A $90,000 fractional engagement earns you $18,000, paid out as the client pays. An SCM client who later buys an operated AI system goes on the standard schedule for that account.

09 Rules of the roadProtect the deal and the brand

Six rules that keep attribution clean and clients happy

Attribution

Register first

Register every prospect before or at first contact. If two partners claim the same account, it goes to whoever registered it first.

Window

180 days

A registered account counts as yours if it signs and makes first payment within 180 days. Re-register with Silk Road's written okay if it runs longer.

Exclusions

12-month lookback

A business that was a Silk Road client, or in active discussion with us, in the prior 12 months is not a new account. We tell you within five business days.

Pricing

Dallas sets the number

Use the ranges to qualify. Quotes, discounts, guarantees and custom terms need Silk Road's written approval first.

Authority

Silk Road signs

You bring the deal to signature; the client agreement is between Silk Road and the client. You cannot bind Silk Road to anything.

Conduct

Say who you are

You are an independent partner, never an employee. Approved materials and claims only, lawful outreach only, and no Silk Road brand terms in paid ads without approval.

10 DiscoveryThree questions that open the door

Ask three questions. The answer to the third is the pilot.

1. "Walk me through what happens when a new lead or call comes in. Who touches it, and when?" 2. "Where do you lose the most jobs or drop the most balls: after hours, in the busy season, on follow-up?" 3. "If you could hand off one thing tomorrow, what would it be?"

Then stop talking. Write down their words. Those words go into the bottleneck map, and they come back to the owner in the proposal.

You have found a pilot when you hear

"We get leads but nobody follows up fast enough."Lead follow-up and AI SDR
"The phone rings all day and we miss half of it."Voice AI
"We type the same information into three systems."Workflow automation
"I'm the bottleneck. Everything runs through me."Assessment, then a pilot
11 ObjectionsThe honest answers

What you will hear, and what to say back

"AI will kill our personal touch."

The AI takes the busywork so the owner stays the trusted point of contact. During the pilot nothing goes out without their approval, and it all goes out in their voice.

"We're too small for this."

Our pilots are built for two-person shops. The CPA firm and the freight agency we use as examples were both small. Small is where the bottleneck is most personal.

"We tried a lead-gen company."

So did most of our clients. This is operations work, done by an operator, measured against a baseline you agree on day one.

"Our software doesn't integrate with anything."

Neither did the CPA firm's. We build around closed systems by producing outputs that feed them. That is normal for us.

"What about our customer data?"

Data stays in the client's own accounts, is processed only as instructed, is never used to train general AI models, and a BAA is signed where health information is involved.

"What does it cost?"

"Dallas scopes every pilot to the actual bottleneck, so I'd be guessing. A recent freight pilot ran about $8,000 for sixty days, build included, with no long-term commitment, to give you an order of magnitude."

12 ProofUse these numbers

Two client results you can quote

Advanced Tax Solutions, a CPA firm

Automated client communication, an AI tax-strategy research assistant, and document processing into closed tax software. First 90 days, client-reported: 46% less tax-prep time, under 1% input error rate on processed documents, 58% higher overall productivity.

A logistics freight agency

Carrier vetting assistant, automated lead follow-up, and the pilot structure on slide 7. The agent got hours back every week and every open lead onto a cadence, with the owner approving everything that went out.
